Entering Slot Information
If you select EXIT and you have not entered in the appropriate slot information, the message line displays “Entire quantity must be slotted!!! Press Space Bar”. After pressing the space bar, the system will display the Select An Option window again.
- If you select SLOT BY SLOT, the system will display a window that contains a listing of all slots associated to the specified location.
- Slot –This column displays the slot reference codes. These are defined and maintained in the Inventory/Setup/Locations and contains the following info:
- Slot Description – This column displays the slot name and description.
- Capacity – This column displays slot capacity in cubic feet.
- Available – This column displays the cubic feet available within a particular slot.
- Volume – This column displays the cubic feet the product occupies.
- Qty Slotted – This column displays the amount of product inducted as inventory into a particular slot.
- Un – This column displays the item’s preferred stocking unit of measurement.
- RSVD – (In Purchase Orders and Receiving Purchase Orders only.) The quantity reserved against the slot. The balance will be zero on a new induction into the slot but would show the total reserved or committed inventory against the slot if the purchase order is being re-received or re-slotted. The slot quantity slotted must be greater than or equal to the RSVD balance.
- Uncosted – The quantity on a shipped or ready sales order and closed work order.
Scroll to the slot the inventory is to be inducted into, enter the quantity for the slot in the QTY slotted column, and continue until the total quantity has been slotted.
- If you select SLOT BY VOLUME, the system will display a window where you can enter in the specific slot you want to induct.
- Slot – Enter the slot ID.
- Slot Description – This column displays the slot name or description.
- Capacity – This column displays the slot capacity in cubic feet.
- Available – This column displays the cubic feet available within a particular slot.
- Volume – The volume will be calculated based on the pounds per cubic foot for the item and the slotted quantity.
- Slotted – Enter the quantity to add to the slot.
- UN – The stocking unit of measure for the item.
If you select EXIT and the appropriate slot information has not been entered, the following message will display: “Entire quantity must be slotted!!! Press space bar”. After pressing the space bar, the system will display the Select An Option window again. Enter the remaining balance into a slot.
To change a slot:
- Enter the correct slot number.
- Select SLOT BY SLOT.
- The slot the item was added to will appear on the top. Enter the correct quantity in each slot and then F10 to exit.
